Magnaflux ZL-37 Level 4 Post Emulsifiable Fluorescent Penetrant

Designed for critical component applications, ZL-37 is an ultra-high sensitivity penetrant that excels in detecting fine, tight discontinuities in safety-critical components, including titanium turbine parts and high-stress investment castings. This Type 1 penetrant is non-water-soluble, minimizing the risk of washing away the penetrant from defects, ensuring reliable and dependable penetrant testing.

With a high flash point and long tank life when used in open dip tanks, ZL-37 can also be applied via electrostatic spray. For removal, it is compatible with ZE-4E Method B lipophilic emulsifier or ZR-10E Method D hydrophilic emulsifier.

Benefits

  • Enhance detection: Achieve the clearest, brightest indications for even the smallest flaws, thanks to superior UV and thermal stability.
  • Maximize inspection control: Prevent over-washing since ZL-37 cannot be removed with water alone, reducing human error during the inspection process.
  • Versatile applications: Suitable for inspecting a variety of high-value components without concerns of corrosion or specification non-conformance, meeting major industry standards.
  • Operator comfort and safety: Provides a more pleasant working environment by reducing strong odors and exceeding EHS requirements.
