Magnaflux MAGNAGLO 20B Preblended Dry Mix Fluorescent Particles
20B is a highly sensitive dry magnetic particle premix designed for locating fine discontinuities in high volume applications. This exceptional formulation combines Magnaflux’s industry-leading 14A magnetic particles with water conditioners, creating an easy-to-use premix for water-based magnetic particle suspension. The ultra-sensitive particles yield clear, bright, fluorescent green indications under ultra-violet black light, ensuring unparalleled inspection quality and accuracy.
As a dry mix of 14A with wetting agents and corrosion inhibitors, 20B is added to a water bath for effective flaw detection. The indications of defects manifest as a bright yellow-green hue under ultraviolet light, allowing for easy identification. The 20B water-bath is applied to parts during magnetization and then inspected, making it suitable for detecting cracks, seams, inclusions, laps, tears, and flakes. It effectively identifies flaws that are open to the surface or slightly subsurface in various ferromagnetic materials, including steel and iron alloys.
