Water-Based Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Concentrate

Experience the superior performance of a highly sensitive water-based magnetic particle suspension designed for locating fine discontinuities in critical parts. This concentrated mixture combines magnetic particles with water conditioning agents, defoamers, and corrosion inhibitors, making it ideal for wet method magnetic particle inspection.

To use, simply dilute the concentrate with water and spray it onto a magnetized part prior to inspection. This product effectively detects cracks, seams, inclusions, laps, tears, and flakes on various ferromagnetic materials, including steel and alloys of iron, nickel, and cobalt. It can identify flaws that are open to the surface or slightly subsurface, and may eliminate the need for additional corrosion inhibitor steps. The fluorescent particles collect where the magnetic field is interrupted, glowing vividly under ultraviolet (UV) lighting for enhanced visibility.

Benefits

  • Clear, bright indications under ultra-violet light
  • High sensitivity for effective flaw detection
  • Easy post-testing clean up
  • Excellent fluorescent contrast for quick identification
  • Outstanding particle mobility and dispersion stability
  • Consistent concentration for reliable results
  • Superior surface wetting for even coverage
  • Non-foaming for hassle-free application
  • Good corrosion protection to extend part life

Specifications

  • Meets AMS 3044, ASTM E709, ASTM E1444, ASME, MIL-STD-2132, MIL-STD-271, NAVSEA 250-1500-1, and NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 standards
